Keyword

Are you curious if you are being found when your target audience searches a search engine for services or products your organization sells? Then you’ve probably already looked into keywords. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about keywords, what they are used for and the impact of a keyword (especially when you rank high in Google with SEO and SEA).

What is a keyword?

A keyword is a word used by the user of a search engine such as Google and is vital in online findability. This word has to do with the information the user is looking for. When a keyword is typed into the search bar, the search engine will show the results that match that keyword. A keyword is also called a keyword.

Keyword examples

For example, if a user is looking for a new sofa for the living room, that user will search for the word “sofa. There are many different types of sofas, so you can also search for “corner sofa” or “modular sofa. If these keywords are incorporated into your product description, the search engine will show your website among the results. Are you easily found organically by your SEO consultant? Then you get the visitor.

The importance of keyword

It is hugely important that you use the right keywords if you want to be found well in a search engine. To find out the right keywords, do some research on this. This is called keyword research. This way, you can determine which keywords are most commonly used and are important to your website.

The impact of keyword

Keywords are used not only by you, but also by your competitors. By doing keyword research, you can also see how much the keyword has to do with competition. By using the right keywords, you increase your findability in search engines and optimize your website.

My advice

Our advice is to do keyword research on the best keywords for your website before you start doing this. Here, it is important not to go overboard with the use of these keywords on your website. You do have to stick to a certain keyword density, or percentage.

For example, if your text consists of more than 5% keywords, this could actually be detrimental to your findability. You can further use keywords to create an online marketing campaign.
