Social media

We are increasingly, daily, on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, TikTok and now Clubhouse. These social media outlets affect your SEO. How? We’ll explain.

The importance of social media on your SEO

Social media plays an increasing role in determining quality websites. When a website has a huge number of followers on various social media channels, it is rewarded. This is because it is an indication to Google that this is a company with high name recognition.

The interaction a company engages with its followers is also very important these days. More interaction with your followers, is considered positive.

My advice

To maximize interaction with followers, it is important to post frequently and consistently. In order to grow the number of followers, a post should be made daily/weekly.

It should be remembered: the quality of the posts is more important than the quantity. Be sure to inform the follower about your industry, business and best practices for what you offer.

Link social media with the website

Make sure social media is properly linked to the website. By doing so, you are essentially telling Google that you own the social media. So: in the footer or header of the website, place a link to the various social media.

There should also be a link to the website on the profiles of the social media channels. This way, visitors can easily view the website through these channels.

Use your budget smartly

Do you have a limited budget? No problem. Then focus on one channel! Creating one channel with a larger number of followers is important than 3 channels with a small number of followers.
