What is linkjuice?

Literally translated, linkjuice is the soup of links created by websites linking to each other in a variety of ways. It makes sense that you would like to have your website promoted by other websites, especially if they are websites with a high rating with the search engines.

In linkjuice, links to those Web sites are important, because that increases your own rating by search engines. Conversely, backlinks to poorly rated sites have no effect on your rating, even if there are a lot of them.

However, don’t stare blindly at external links to your website. The links you place internally between the pages of your website also count heavily in linkjuice. So those in the linkjuice also help influence your own ranking.

By properly using linkjuice, especially by using internal links, you can increase the rating for your site. Above all, do not overestimate the influence of external links. These only contribute to a better rating if they come from sites with a higher rating than yourself.

Take advantage of linkjuice on your own site and otherwise only when the opportunity arises. However, don’t spend too much time and energy on it.
